Model: Patricia

Daniel Tan invited me for a photoshoot with model, Patricia.  She was very sweet and really works great in front of the camera. We also had fun with the "instant hairdo" poses! Hmmm... she looks a bit like Maxine Magalona, doesn't she?

Kiss me.

My friend photographer, Bryan Villamor, sent me the peg a few weeks before this shoot. And asked me, can we do this theme for them? I opened the attached photo...

...and I'm like "Are you kidding me?! I love it!" but of course that was not my reply to his email... haha! I just got ecstatic and replied "sure!". I later learned that Tom works in the US Air Force while Marj works as a nurse in Singapore. Hence a Pearl Harbor theme!

In their uniforms

For their next look, they decided to wear something with Red, White and Blue outfits. Marj with an American flag theme while Tom with a Philippine flag theme (notice the little Philippine flag right there). The couple was so much fun to work with and very relaxed.

American flag and Philippine flag themed outfits.

Hi guys! So here's the continuation of my work with Daniel Tan...

After I'm done with Lily's makeup, next on my workstation is another young model Holly (Erin White). She has very nice fair skin. As per instruction of Miss Eughie Teng (Managing Director of Elite Manila), I did very natural and fresh makeup on Holly too.

No makeup yet, but she still looks so pretty!

I failed to get Holly's "after" photo. But I gotta tell you she looks gorgeous! Will definitely post her photoshoot photos once I get the copies.

I also did Robbie Becroft's makeup.

And that wraps up my visit in Elite Studios. I had fun and I met new friends too! Jen Chua and Fashion Stylist, Shane Alebastro.

Recently, I got invited by Daniel Tan to be the makeup artist for his photoshoot in Elite Studios. He's a professional photographer and Nikon Ambassador. I was so excited to work with him again. You gotta love his refreshing works, check them here. Thumbs up!

Gloria Cruz (hairstylist) and I arrived in A Venue 45 minutes before the appointment, so we had enough time to have our breakfast first before heading to the studio.

Minutes after we had set up our workstations, a beautiful 6-footer girl walked in and we suddenly felt like Hobbits. Ms. Eughie Teng (Managing Director of Elite Manila) instructed me to do natural and fresh makeup a la "Ponds", our first model just arrived...
Before
Meet Lily, a young Russian model who specializes in catwalk. She told me that she's been modeling for 5 months. She's very shy and apologized that her English is very bad, but I told her not to be sorry and that maybe she can teach me some Russian words instead. She's very sweet and taught me how to say "Hi!" (Privet!) and "How are you?" (Kak dela?) in Russian. She was giggling when I was trying to repeat the pronunciations, I hope it don't sound bad! But I'm glad the Russian beauty loosen up while I was doing her makeup.

Doing retouches before the photoshoot. See how tall she is?
I will be posting Lily's photos next...

Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in Bonbon Pink

I've been craving to get a really nice pink lipstick which is perfect for daytime and daily use. Thanks to Nikki of Ask Me Whats for sharing her favorite pink lipstick, I had a little trip to the lipstick counter and grabbed this shade to try.
Let's try this on!

Maybelline's ColorSensational lipsticks (Php299).

What I like...
  • Keeps my lips moisturized
  • Has SPF15
  • Very rich pink color
  • Catchy name.... Bonbon Pink!
What I don't like...
  • It gives a little hint of shimmer. It's not really bad, but I just find that a bit unexpected.

Since I get to like so many things about this lipstick, I give it 4 kisses!

Tips: If you are planning to wear a pink lipstick, do not overdo it with the eyeshadow. Too much pink on your face wouldn't look flattering. So take it easy and try on some neutral shades. Especially if you're wearing this for casual or daytime.

I must say that I'm getting addicted to lipstick specifically pink shades. I want more! And I'm still searching for... The One! Hehe.

What's your favorite PINK lipstick? Please share it with me! Would love to try your favorites too.

Suesh Small LED Vanity Mirror

Last week I got this really cute vanity mirror from Suesh!

Check it out!

Ta-dah!

It's a small hand-held vanity mirror with LED lights installed! When folded, it's approximately a bit bigger than my Blackberry phone, very portable! So, you don't need to go anywhere else to find a light just for you to retouch your makeup!

NOTE: Do not look through the mirror in between the lights, because it'll hurt your eyes.
Use the opposite mirror instead, so you can enjoy the lighting slightly from underneath or on the side.

It's so cute that you'll surely adore it too! You can also choose from the available plain colors and animal-printed designs! Php380 each.

Check out their website: www.suesh.com

Suesh Makeup Toolkits branches:
  • #34 Wilson St., Greenhills, San Juan
  • Ground Floor, Trinoma Mall, North Edsa, Quezon City
  • Lower Ground Floor, Alabang Town Center

Do you guys already have this in your kikay kit? Tell me about it!

lots,

Pattita
